Vehicle Scenes process
1. Measurement of VehicleMeasuring the vehicle is a critical step in the wrapping process. The difference between a good wrap and a great wrap is about 1 inch. Accurate measurements are the key to avoiding one of the most common mistakes in wrapping-printing words or images over the visual breaks on the vehicle (as shown below).

In some cases we are able to use professional vehicle templates to determine sizes. Other times the project may require us to manually measure and record vehicle specs. Accurate measurements are critical for wrap design, but they also help keep costs down. With precise measurements we are able to minimize wasted material and therefore, save our customers money!
2. Design Consultation
The design consultation takes place within the first few days of the Vehicle Scene experience. Our clients get a chance to discuss their marketing objectives with one of our account executives. In this process, our goal is to gather critical information that will help us design a Scene that conveys the advertising message properly.

"A picture is worth a thousand words," a phrase we've all heard hundreds of times. Whoever coined this phrase must have had the foresight to see Vehicle Scenes as a form of advertising. We are true believers that you can say much more with pictures than with words. Our design team is comprised of experts in OUTDOOR MEDIA. Unlike many "sign shops," we understand that there is a huge difference between designing a magazine or newspaper ad and a car wrap or billboard. When advertising with Vehicle Scenes, you have to relay your message quickly and effectively to potential customers. We help you achieve this by creating visually compelling designs with minimal verbiage. If you try to say too much with words, you may say nothing at all.
3. Design Phase
The design phase goes hand in hand with the approval stage. Our team of designers creates marketing concepts based on the information we collect in the design consultation. We organize images and [minimal] text on an outline of the vehicle you are wrapping. Once a few design ideas have been completed we send it over to our client for approval.
4. Approval Stage
This step is often the most time consuming of the Vehicle Scenes experience. It is important to us to design wraps that our client is 100% satisfied with. This process may go back and forth with the design phase a few times before the perfect design is agreed upon.
5. Printing Process
Once the design has been approved by the client, the job is sent to the printers. This is a process that is typically completed within 5 days of design approval. We print on 3M Control Tac and Perforated Window film using UV solvent inks. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to print at an extraordinary resolution. Many "sign shops" print at 150 dpi which results in a wrap that is blurry and pixilated. We print at 720 dpi so that our wraps have sharp lines and vibrant colors.

6. Lamination Process
After the ink has dried, we take an additional step and laminate the each of the products. The Control Tac is covered with a very thin laminate coating to increase its durability and provide additional UV protection. The window film is coated with an optically clear laminate which helps to prevent blurred vision.

7. Installation
We work with our clients to schedule the most convenient times possible to install their Vehicle Scene. We understand that our clients need their vehicles back on the roads in a timely manner. Installation times range depending on the difficulty of the installation. Vehicles with lots of curves are typically more time consuming and costly to wrap. Our installers are able to wrap vehicles at our clients place of business or at one of our nearby warehouses. At the time we start installation, the vehicles surface must be free of dirt and debris. While the vehicle needs to be clean, it cannot have wax on the surface. The installation is completed by stretching each section of the vinyl over the vehicles surface. Then, the installers meticulously form the material to every contour of the vehicle. Heat and squeegees are used to eliminate wrinkles and bubbles. In most cases the project is completed within 1-2 business days.

8. Removal
When the time comes to remove the Vehicle Scene, there is no reason to worry. Heat is applied to the vinyl which enables the material to be peeled away from the vehicle's surface. The surface of the vehicle will be left unscathed; in fact, the surface will be in better condition than had the vehicle not been wrapped. We highly recommend to our customers not to leave their wrap on for too long, this may cause the material to dry rot and/or mold to the vehicle's surface. The removal process can be completed by our team within 1 business day.
